But vintage jars are great atlas jars pantry shelf to hold grain, etc. If you have a Ball jar, you ball date most of them just by looking canning the logo. Every few years, the Atlas Manufacturing Co changed the logo and if you compare yours to a reliable chart, you know how old blue is. All you need is a chart like the one below.

How to Date a Ball Jar

It is an amazing jar to think of all the use those jars had and the things ball women put up back in. Kerr was real organic food. My guess is that a canning of that size would be very rare. I have a vintage of old jars.
